2005 Ram: How Do I Program Keyless Remote?
#33
Request a build sheet, usually an initial clue is whether you have a keyhole on the passenger side front door handle. USUALLY...if you only have a driver's keyhole then it was built with RKE. If you have one on the passenger side then USUALLY it wasn't. I capaitalize the usually because there have been discrepancies to this rule, but for the most part is true.

Well i only have the driver side key hole, anyways i requested a build sheet and within a couple hours got it from dodge. I do have keyless entry, so now to order a key fob. But are the only ones available for the '06 the fobs with the built in key? I know provramming the fob isnt hard and getting the key cut is cheap but getting the key itself programmed isnt. I only have one programmed key, i mention that cause the manual says of you have 2 keys you can program more yourself. So is there a stand alone fob maybe from an older year that i can use?

Pin 1
The only reason YOU would ground pin 4 to pin 1 is because pin 1 should be a ground
clearly this is not the case on these models
So ground pin one to any metal ground like the brake pedal or any black wire going to the frame
Not sure why this has not come up already because its so simple
