Default How can I identify my anti-lock brakes?

I have a 2006 Ram 1500 SLT (bought it used). How can I tell if I have rear wheel anti-lock brakes or all wheel anti-lock brakes?

Thanks

I think until 09, only Laramie trucks had 4 wheel abs. My 08 is only rear wheel.

My 2006 manual indicates that it could have either 2 or 4 ABS. Thanks for the feedback.

Slam on brakes. See if your tires lock up

Find a slick spot -- sand, wet grass, whatever. At 15mph or so, nail the brakes. If the fronts lock, it's rear only.

Rear anti lock brakes are standard on the 1500 Ram, 4 wheel anti lock brakes are optional, only the 2500 Ram has 4 wheel anti lock brakes as standard EQP.

Use this link and ask for a build sheet for your truck. You will need the last 8 characters of your vin #. It will take them a couple of days probably to respond but they should.
