Default To end a fight

A friend of mine, who is a self-proclaimed car know it all and I have been having a more than loud discussion about my truck and it's Anti-Slip Differential. One party says it's the same thing as the LSD and one says it's a completely different thing so to end the fight. Is Anti-Slip Differential, LSD?

Yep. It is. Dodge refers to it as an Anti-Spin axle.

Anyways my truck is stock 4.7 QC 3.92/LSD is it a good combo?

Untill the factory LSD grenades your rearend, yeah its kinda alright. Better than a one-tire fire anyways...

dodge LSD's are known for taking a crap on themselves, to the point where you need a new differential because the old one is shot to hell.

The dodge anti slip rear has an issue w/ the c clips which can cause the whole rear end to grenade. Some have issues, some don't, it's a toss up, but the 3.92's are pretty much the best gear you could hope for from the factory.

There have been guys who have posted pics of their diff's basically imploding. The diff shell basically gets deformed and cracks and breaks to the point of needing a new one. If you ever replace the LSD, I'd recommend Detroit TruTrac or Auburn. You could upgrade to different gears but 4.10's won't give you much of an increase over what you have and 4.56 is a bit overkill for a stock height truck.
