Default Stock 3.55s compared to 4.56s

So my 4.56 gears arrived and are waiting to be installed. Just wondering how much difference it will be going from the stock 3.55s

I have an 06 single cab Ram with the 4.7 and 5 speed auto. It's been awhile since I logged on. What's up everyone?

yeah i bet my mpg is going to drastically go down. Well right now I am on a 17/265/55 tire but I also run 22/305/40 tires. So I am assuming I'll have to get sticky tires when running the 17s

It's going to have much better acceleration and much easier to hold a consistent speed without having to downshift on the highway. It should feel like you just added 50hp to your truck MPG shouldn't be affected to horribly if at all. It could possibly even help depending on your driving habits.

I just went to 4:10 from 3:55. Gained 300 rpm at 60mph. Gas mileage looks to be the same if I can keep my foot out of it. Great fun! You will like it.

i got better mileage with mine, even on the highway. but i have 35's. its a night and day difference. aside from the cam i did, it was the single best performance gain (although its not a true gain, only a felt gain)
