I was taking the key out at the end, not just turning it off. I tried again, turned it off but left key in ignition and heard *DING*....no more annoying warning.
I'm like a few of you, I always wear my seatbelt, but every now and then you gotta go like across a parking lot and it just dings the whole way. Haha, FIXED!!

I must be doing something wrong because I cannot get it to turn off even though I follow instructions to the tee.

You could just hook the middle seat seatbelt in to the drivers seat belt clip, just a quick and easy temp fix.

Also wondering if it works on 2003s? I didn't a *really* thorough look in the manual but I don't find any references to features like this on a 2003?

i believe on the 03s the light will come on but there is no beep. i say this because i have an 04 so when i go to the deer lease and drive without my seatbelt it chimes the whole time but when we go in my dads truck (an 03) the light will come on but there is no chime.

You're probably right. I don't have the chime - just trying to kill the light.
