I've had the problem where all my window switches don't work except for the driver side even the passenger window. first, can someone tell me if the child lock, locks the passenger window also. second, does anyone have a wire diagram wire I can solder some wires and by pass the child lock because I really don't need it and never will. It's embarrassing when girls gotta ask for permission to roll down their window haha.

Not to sure about the child locks because I don't think I have them. The switch issue is a common problem. Mine did it and I could pop the driver side switch out and disconnect/reconnect the wiring harness and it would start working.
So I have to ground out the c2 wire from the driver's door module. Would you know what wire that is? haha. The sad thing is I kind of know what going on in the picture where most people wouldn't have a clue.
Thanks that makes sense, my plan is to connect the two with one of those splicer things. I don't know what its called so if anyone knows that will help a bunch. And these modules are a rip, $120 for the driver side off lmc truck. Forget that.
Do you agree to splice the yellow with the tan?
That should work if its a Live or not since they eventually get connected by the relay if the module is working right. RIGHT!
With my luck ill open the panel and see 3 yellows and 4 tans.
while the door panel is off or the switch is out just take a paper clip and in the pins connect the yellow to the tan and try and use your passenger side window control to see if it works.
I wouldnt splice the 2 together unless it really comes down to having to do that
I have a 2004 Dakota club cab, the passenger window will only go down from the drivers side switch. It will also work if power is applied to the Yellow wire.Does this mean that the drivers side module is bad?
All 4 of my windows did not work. Here is what I found: The wiring harness has something to do with the problem. Today (10/11/14) I popped off the master switch, and seen the wiring harness from the small plug (forward) wrapped around the larger plug (rear) harness. I said to myself: "Self, why is this wrapped around this way?" I unplugged both, sprayed electronics cleaner in the plug outlets, and let them dry. I then added dielectric grease to the entire plug area and snapped all back together. Nothing. I unraveled the wiring harness, and held the small plug in while adding pressure towards the front, and adding pressure on the wires while pulling on the harness. All 4 windows operated! So, that is why the harness is wrapped around the other one. It is to add pressure (tension) on the wires. I am still working on the permanent fix, and will add more information as it becomes known. So, it may not be your master switch, or the contacts. I hope this helps others.
