Default What are the hockey pucks for?

I was under my Regular cab/short bed and noticed two round (pucks) weights bolted together and mounted to a bracket to the outside of the frame about the middle of the lenght of the truck. They appear to have no function and the question is what the hell are they for?

If those are what I think they are, they have been asked about before and were said to be vibrating dampeners.

Get some pics and post to be sure

yep. Weed is correct. Frames produce vibrations that turn into harmonics that would otherwise resonate into the cab. They are there to eliminate unwanted noises.
