you need these 6 ohm 50 watt resistors to simulate the OEM halogen bulbs because they have filaments in there whereas the HID are gas filled.

One end of the resistors goes on the low beam wire and the other end to ground. The other resistor need to go to the high beam wire and to ground.

Do this on both sides so you need 4 resistors total. Ive got pics in my sig link below

i have hade the same problem on my 2005 ram when i purchased a set of 12000k hi lo kit from xentec! this was a plug and play kit where each ballast grounded itself and also had an inline fuse right off the battery! once i got them all in i turned them on and all they did was flicker! what i did to fix this problem was to get rid of the hi lo kit and put in a single beam 12k and it works great. no problems since! hope this helps!!!!!!!

Hey Weedahoe, when you made your resistors for your lights where did you get the plug to go into the light socket? my truck doesn't have dlr's so i haven't had any problems with my lights except they have flickered twice tafter using them for a week but just once each time. figured on putting some resistors on the empty socket on pass side but don't want to hard wire them to factory harness. thanks for the help.

You can buy a 9007 plug off ebay HERE. The item number is 330326943485 is case the link doesnt work

You only need/want 20w resistors to make it an even 55w. That, or you can pick up some 2200uf caps(capacitors) from radioshack and wire them in. I haven't done the math, but you can run 2 of them in series to double the charging capacity. The caps will hold the power and avoid the flicker, but you may still geta bulb out warning on your dash??? The resistors avoid it altogether.
Ive had my kits for over a year now and no issues anywhere. I also burn my headlights in the daytime all the time. I believe cars/trucks should drive with them on.

BTW, I made that DIY on the P/W you asked for. I just have not uploaded it yet.

I understand what you are saying but this is one of Chads kits from UniqueCoatinz and Twiggy built his all the same way so anyone who has one of their kits has the same setup.
