Default OBD Reader info needed

What might be a good OBD reader for less than $75.00 something that will work well on most cars especially Dodge Chrysler and Jeep.

My 2004 Dodge ram will do the key trick but my Dodge 2005 Durango and (2) 2005 Jeep Grand cherokee will not work with the key trick. Also wife has a Toyota Highlander.

One Jeep has a check engine OBD.

thanks

I carry an Autel Maxiscan in my glovebox. Reads and clears for around $20 to the door from Amazon.com...

I got a really cheap one ($15, maybe) from Amazon a while back that works well for basic reads. I semi-recently bought a Bluedriver ($90 on Amazon) and it kicks all sorts of ***. There may be cheaper alternatives that do about the same thing, but I'm very happy with it, and I've not read a bad review about it. It's helped in diagnosing several vehicles so far.
