Default 1500 QuadCab and wind noise at driver door

Cheers everyone,

I have quite some wind noise from the driver door when going 50mph/80kph or more.
First I tried to "adjust" the door at the lock, loosened up the 2 screws from the plate and put it in like 1-2mm. Didn't really help.
Then I bought a new gasket for the door surround (what quite some effort to get them to Germany), installed them, had to put the plate back to the position before because otherwise the door wouldn't close (too tight).
First test drive and the noise is still the same. But when I pull from the inside at the upper corner of the door, the noise goes away.
So I checked some videos and saw some guy who pushed the upper door frame inwards to better tighten up the door?!
I tried it too, but with no really effort (not enough breakfast maybe?).
Now I thought of doing a little better approach and use a tension strap to pull it a little bit.
Will that help?
Or will I need a different gasket elsewhere? The upper gasket that goes along the roof and down the wind shield?
Thanks for any help!

Don't use any tools, way to easy to pull too far.

Open the door, roll the window all the way down, put your knees against the interior door panel, just below the window, grab the top of the door frame, and pull it in some. (its steel, so, requires some effort, but, don't go overboard.) Take it for a drive, still not where you want it? Do it again. Repeat as necessary.

Cheers man,

I tried to push it in already. I am a little bit unsure if pulling "uncontrolled" would be the way to go? I mean, I don't have really much control when pulling as the steel is flexible and I have to pull beyond the Hooke's law point to get it to stay in the new position.
But it is hard to control that?
But I am right that it is a matter of the door having been "bent" over time?

With the door shut is the upper right corner not tight? When viewing from the outside. Different vehicle but I tried the knee method and couldn't get enough leverage. Used a block of wood and pushed from the outside.

Well, it "looks" tight and lines up with the rear door really good. But I hear a big difference once I pull the door inside at the top corner.
So maybe I just need a new top gasket as well?!

You could try a temp fix using some weather stripping. Like 1/8" or 1/4" thick.

Do you have the revised weatherstripping? There were TSB's for this, 23-005-05 & 23-049-05.

Is there any way to find out the difference?
From the look of it the stripping is quite old and the car has been in the UK and Germany for most of its time so probably none of these recalls have been done. Only recall done I know of is the air bag one though.

Then likely not. Part numbers are attached to the TSB's.
