Default Cracked Dash/ Leaf springs/heater coil

Does anyone know where to get a new dash not a cover for less than $300 or more in some cases and is it hard to change out the leaf springs (atleast i think this is why my truck is squeaking) GRRRRR ready for a new truck! Plus my heater is not working one side of the heater coil gets warm the other is cold, could this just be a plug? no water is leaking or anything.

thanks!

Leaf springs are fairly simple to change as long as you have jack stands to support the truck and a floor jack to support the differential. As for the heater core, when is the last time you flushed your cooling system?

Try pick 'n pulls (salvage yards) for the dash. You may have to go in and take it out of a truck yourself, but you'll save a bunch.

If the leafs are not bad (sagging) try soaking them down pretty heavy with a penetrating lubricant to quiet them down.

As for the heat, as stated, try flushing the system...

Yeah, you should be flushing your cooling system at least once a year. Even though engine coolant has some corrosion inhibitors in it, it does break down over time, leading to a plugged up rad or heater core, ESPECIALLY if anybody has run any of those "bandaid" type sealants through it. If you want to do it yourself, try the Prestone Super cleaner.

Yeah, before I would replace the the leaf packs I would pull the pins out of the shackles and grease them really good. Chances are, thats there yous squeaking is coming from. Mine used to do the same.

Well like Hammer said, if you spray the pins in the shackles with WD40 or PB Blaster or other oil and the noise goes away (temp) then you know thats your issue.
