Default engine swap (blown 287,4.7L)

I have have a blown head gasket on my 4.7L for the second time and can get my hands on a 2002 5.9L 360 engine, but what I don't know is how compatible the engines are to swap out. Can anyone tell me if they are more plug and play type engines or if alot of things will have to be replaced? It will cost me at least $2000 to just fix my 4.7L, but I can get this 5.9L for $1000 bucks with a 6 month warrenty. Also, what about the trannys? Will the 5.9L work with the on in my truck already? I have a 2002 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab 4X4, with the 4.7L 287 engine.

The tranny, PCM, tcm, wiring harnesses, exhaust and much more are very different.

I'd rebuild the 4.7 or sell your truck for parts(or scrap) and upgrade.
Or look for a used low miliage 4.7 and swap that.

Or follow this lead.... https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...003-5-7-a.html
