Welcome to DF. First, before anything else, please read this.

I will move this to the 3rd gen section (2002-2008 Rams).

I don't know where its located, I'm a newbie, this is my first truck and I bought it used. Engine light came on and I got it tested and they told me my O2 sensor is bad and needs replaced. So if anyone has a picture or a diagram of them changing theres, I would really appreciate it. thanks.

Which O2 sensor? The code will tell you which sensor is bad. What was the code #?

Just so you know, only ONE type of thing is going to be screwed into your exh pipe and that is an O2 sensor. So answer Hammers questions and crawl under your truck when it is cooled down and look at the pipe as it leave the engine and you will see it/them. You may have more than one.

It's the one before the catalytic converter. I'll look under the truck in the morning.

With it being an '02, I think you'll only have one cat, where most have two. At least I know the '02 4.7 has one, I'm not 100% sure on the 5.9s.

So it'd be easy enough to spot, follow from the cat forward toward the exhaust manifold (engine) and it'd be the only thing screwed into the exhaust with wires coming out of it...
