Check Engine Light OBD code P0471
After 2 trouble-free days of towing my 5th wheel RV, about 300 miles per day, tonight after I left the restaurant after dinner and started my 2007.5 Dodge Ram 3500 turbo diesel 6.7 L, I got a Check Engine Light. I have an OBD scanner linked to my phone and looked up the error. It says it's a P0471 - "Exhaust Pressure Sensor “A” Circuit Range / Performance"
I turned off the engine, hit the "Clear Codes" on my phone and the CEL blinked several times and went off. I turned the key to off and started the truck again. No CEL and drove home fine.
I have 311 miles to drive tomorrow towing my 5th wheel RV, and another 600 miles more after that over the next 3 days.
The truck has been running great, it has "only" 111K miles and has had oil changes regularly. I had no CEL errors while driving or towing my 5th wheel RV. I towed it 1,100 miles about a month ago, also without any problems.
What's going on with this, and do I have something to worry about? Thanks.
