Leaking from front passenger side, just inside the tire a few inches.

Question Leaking from front passenger side, just inside the tire a few inches.

Seems like brake or steering fluid,, leaking about a dinner size plate after sitting for a hour or so.. Any idea guys,, 2006 mega cab,, bout 60k miles... recently put on 20's with 35 inch tires.about a month ago.... Help?

What color is the fluid and where under the truck is it leaking.

Have you checked either reseviour for low fluid? Power steering fluid could be leaking out of the boot, but that would be 1ft away from the tire unless it's trickling along the tierod end.
Stick your fingers in it and rub them together, do your fingers resist each other and the fluid feel really dry? If so, then it's brake fluid.
Does the fluid feel slippery and like an oily substance and have a redish/brownish tint to it? If so, then it's PS fluid.
If the rack is leaking, it needs to be replaced and an alignment must be done.

My 07 Quad had a leaking power steering cooler last Winter. This leak would leave a decent size puddle over night as it sat in my driveway. The puddle was on the passenger side, up front under the bumper area.

thanx for pointing me in the rite direction, seems to be brownish fluid,, i will see if any of the resevoirs are low.. thanx guys!!!!
