Default grounding the TB ???

I read this at diablo sport forum ( written by white_lighting which is a professional in custom tuning ) :
several people have had good results with better throttle response on 04 & up Hemi Ram trucks by grounding the throttle body.

simple ground wire from throttle body mounting bolt to ground on firewall, sidewall, or (-)battery post and the throttle blade opens and closes faster.

seems to benefit shift quality on some Rams too.

What do u think ?? Any body tried it ?

I know of some ricers and old muscles that have a crate efi that do this as well, but like wink said you would think this would already be done. But between the TB and the intake manifold which is plastic there Is also a rubber gasket therefore not being grounded as far as the factory plug not sure if that ground would count either. I'll give it a shot and see what results I get. Anyone else ever done this?

You would think if that was the case, everybody would be doing it. But, if nobody tries....
Maybe I'll have to give it a shot! I wouldn't think it would hurt anything. Like mentioned before, you'd think the plug is already grounded, but if it's a crappy ground, then a wire from the TB straight to the firewall would give you a strong ground.

I did this last night and to me, it makes a very noticeable difference. It really smoothed-out my idle, and definitely helped with throttle response as well. Took my about 30 minutes to do and I had all the materials, so it was free. I removed the Hemi hat and air filter cover to easily access the TB. Ran a 14 AWG wire from the top left TB bolt to the ground bolt next to the battery. Used 2 ring terminals and zip-tied it all down.

Placebo effect or not, it makes a difference to me, and since I am the one driving my truck, that is all that really matters right? I would highly recommend doing this "mod".

Could you take any pictures of how yours turned out? i was also wondering if you have any mods or are all stock. My truck is stock right now but I found a dealer to get rid of the MDS and do the fog light deal with my 08' in one shot.

Sh*t, can't hurt nuthin'. Since I have a CAI I can get to the TB without having to remove anything. I'll give it a shot this weekend and see what it does...
