- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Slow engine start
- Low battery power
- Loose or missing alternator drive belt
- Faulty alternator
- Battery defective
- Open or short system voltage circuit
Start by recharging or replacing the battery.
P0562 DODGE Description
The battery supplies electricity to the ECM even when the ignition switch is OFF. This electricity allows the ECM to store data such as DTC history, freeze frame data, fuel trim values and other data. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, the ECM will conclude that there is a fault in the power supply circuit. The next time the engine starts, the ECM will turn on the MIL and a DTC will be set.
When is the code detected?
The P0562 code is detected when the battery voltage detected by the ECM is less than a calibrated value
have both fault code 562 and 700. I replaced both the battery and alternator and now the truck runs bad stalls out while making turns and idle fluxuates
was on my way to get my truck smoged and plugged in my scanner and got these same 2 codes...I clear them and disconnect my electric fan and put my clutch fan back on thinking it could be the efan cutting down the power but the codes return immediatly..anyone else with this issue...have a 06 ram hemi
