Default Shifting Hesitation

I have a 2002 Ram 1500 4.7L. I was having hesitation to shift from reverse into drive. A little slippage when acceleration here and there. Fluid was fine. Had filter and fluid changed. Seemed good for a couple days. Now I am really noticing, when I accelerate to get on the e way it hesitates to shift into 2nd. The RPMs go up high. Can this be anything besides the trans? Can anyone help with what it could be?

Is the filter seated properly? That seems to be a common culprit.
