Let's talk transmissions.

Let's talk transmissions.
I've been driving my truck for a couple of weeks now, and in an effort to drive it as efficiently as possible I'm trying to figure out how the transmission works.
Is there any information on what the shift point RPM/speeds are and at what points the TC will lockup?? I mean technical information for engineering eyes.
I'm finding that the TC won't lockup until I hit about 70kph, which isn't exactly the speed at which I would like to TC to lockup.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to drive to keep the RPM's low and if possible how to make it lockup t he TC earlier, and maybe changing the shiftpoints (I don't think it's possible with the 4.7L is it?)
I also notice things like if I'm approaching 60kph, and giving it power (2k RPM or there about) I will need to back off the pedal before the gears will change into (3rd gear @60?).
I'm very used to driving a car, but the car wasn't far off from the truck, it just had slightly different shift points and the TC would/could lockup at 55kph.
I kind of want to make my transmission function ever so slightly more like my car. (Yes I know I'm driving a truck now )
