I got a 50 series flowmaster on my 05 ram 5.7 hemi, and it sounds pretty loud but the guy told me that dodge puts these resinators or something like that on the exausts to make them not as loud, so the guy told me that they can take that off and put a different pipe there. Has anybody done this and if so did it make it any louder?

 

Yes it will be louder. but if you cut it off save it you may want it later due to cab noise.

 

Yes, the resonator is the "little" muffler looking thing. You can cut it off and weld another piece of pipe in its place, but as mentioned, be sure to save it.
