Default Power steering pressure line blown

2003 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 HEMI AT

Yesterday, the power steering pressure line (PN 52113733AD) blew in our driveway just as I returned home (luck?). There appears to be a sensor with an electrical plug attached, inline with the hose. The sensor actually rusted away and blew. My questions:

Is all that is needed is to remove and replace the line?

Any procedure needed when refilling the PS reservoir with fluid, bleeding, etc?

What is the sensor and what does it monitor?

Thanks!
