Default Help!!!

Need help 08 3500 making ticking noise under driver side door..... sounds like a card in a bike tire...... changed out ball bearings...... Driver said its done it before but stopped....
Pissed off boss!!!

Sounds like one of the following:

1) Exhaust Leak
2) Bad Wheel Bearing
3) Warped Brake Rotor
4) Worn out Suspension Bushing

No exhaust leak
Thought the same thing on the Wheel bearing changed both but noise still there.
Rotors looked good.
Also it is a 4x4 someone said drive shaft too

That's next on the list. Drive shaft might be hitting a head shield or something under there....

Get the Entire Truck up in the air with someone in the driver seat and you under the truck, have the person inside put it in 1st gear and just let off the brake and let the truck turn the wheels.

You should then look for any issues with the driveline. BE CAREFUL AND I TAKE ZERO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU HURT YOURSELF!

Next thing I'd do with the whole truck in the air is turn the steering from lock to lock and see if anything is binding or popping.

Then I'd check endlinks on the sway bars (aka stabilizer bars), and then I'd begin checking the power steering rack.

it was the drive shaft!!! truck is back on the road but no 4 wheel drive!
