Smile trans delayed engagement fixed

I had a problem with a delayed engagement of my transmission after extended off time. I had replaced both filters a year ago with jobber ones which did not fix the problem! Now I have replaced them with the latest mopar ones from the dealer and it has fixed the problem!

Mine just started that this winter. I will try the mopar filters before I try a solenoid body. Did it delay every time? mine just when it was cold I would have to let it idle for about 45 seconds before putting it in gear. Figured it was a solenoid sticking keeping the line pressures from coming up fast enough. Heard nasty stories about these transmissions from my buddy that is a trans tech.

It seemed to be worse when it was hotter outside. Would seem to slip if I tried to take off right start up. If I would wait 20-30 seconds it was fine.

Unhappy Not fixed after all

In the end the problem is not fixed. Has anyone else resolved their problem with transmission slipping after extended off time?

That's bad news. Mine does the same thing and I was hoping that was the fix.

Same issue here, changed to the mopar filters last year when I changed out the solenoid pack and neither fixed the issue. I usually let my truck run for 30 seconds or longer before I drive away, you know to get the oils a flowin.
