I'm not sure of anything being common, but some more details would probably help someone who has deeper knowledge of front end issues. But welcome to DF!

jpitts2980,

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry to learn of the grind noise you're experiencing. When did you first notice the noise? Did it appear suddenly, or was it heard first when going over larger bumps and became more frequent?

Did the wheel bearings fix this issue? I just developed a grinding noise in my front end. 4x4 works fine, but over bumps you can hear grinding occur. I thought it was my actuator, but my 4x4 goes in and out fine. I feel like it could be a vacuum issue and my shafts aren’t disengaging all the way causing a grinding noise. Any help is appreciated!
