Unknown Trouble
Tried starting my truck last night after work and immediately noticed a delay in turning the key and the initiation of the engine cranking. The engine barely started, revved to 1,500 RPM then died. All electronics were working 100%, just didn't stay started.
I do this 4-5 times, and eventually have to proceed with my foot on the accelerator to keep the engine running. It dies getting into traffic but finally made it home after experiencing more issues. Truck would accelerate at an odd rate, bog down and the rev up back and forth.
The entire time, and still this morning...no dash lights came on. I pulled the battery and had it tested, which tested 100% charged.
HELP!!

I pulled the battery long enough to drive to autozone to get it tested and came back to put it back in. Still no progress. The folks I've talked to said it sounds like the fuel pump. Main symptom causing people to think that is the unsteady acceleration when driving home before it stopped running all together.

This might sound dumb, but my battery read 11.7V and all my electronics worked fine, but it was NOT cranking enough amps to turn the engine over enough to stay running. If possible get your battery tested. Thats all that was wrong with mine and your symptoms are identical.
My OP states its been tested, but thanks! I had that problems like you mentioned, last year which led to me getting this new battery. It didn't have the cranking amps to start the truck but would jump start and be fine.

Well...... what was the diagnosis???
I am having the same problem with my truck.
Short delay when the key is turned to the on position before the engine turns over.
However, my engine will not start at all. I have thrown a bunch of new parts at it and still will not start.
New PCM, crank sensor, cam sensor, fuse block, etc.

Did you have any fault codes? Have you checked the connectors and grounds to the pcm. I assume the battery has been ruled out as the issue.
