Thumbs up New Owner

Greetings.

Picking up an 03 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 5.7L Hemi in the next 2 days with 62,000 miles on her. This is my 3rd Dodge; first was an 01 Ram club cab and then an 02 Durango. Now I have to changed my name to SJ03.

I'll look into that! Just picked up some upper door seals to replace the ones that the TSB corrects. Got some touchup paint also. Here are some pics of her....

Mint.
Is she a 4x4?
Does she have an LSD.
If you do, open up the rear diff cover and look for the dreaded retaining clip issue problem.
Do a search on here and skill up on this issue and read read READ about it.
It's a very well documented and known issue on early 02-05.5 Rams with the stock LSD.
If these clips slip out of their pockets, it can necessitate the purchase of a whole new rear axel.
Good luck with your new truck. She looks a beauty!

Thanks! She's a 4x2. I've read up on the clips with the LSD. Scary stuff. My build sheet reads that she has a 3.92 Rear Axle Ratio and a Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle w/ Anti-Spin Differential. Is that a LSD?

Yes, you have LSD. Keep an eye on it as you get closer to 100,000 miles. Wow, that's low mileage for an 03 (I have over 140,000). I would get the springs, just to have, but I still have my originals. Is that dash cover or still the original dash? Mine cracked all the way up at around 100,000. Nice truck, now get a superchips tuner, do the TMR mod, get a pressure line booster (Sonnax), a good exhaust system, maybe a CAI. I can tell you even with a stock cam, a gear change and converter swap really wakes the truck up.
