Default Engine Change info

just acquired an 06 Ram quad with 246k and a bad 5.7. I
found myself a replacement with 9k on it and am getting ready to do the swap. I'm 59 years old and have worked on and built street rods for most of my adult life as a hobby, so I'm not ignorant to this type operation but I'm likewise not ignorant to the fact that there is more that I don't know than I do know. So what I'd like to ask is any advice, tricks or shortcuts that those of you who have the knowledge might pass on to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Pretty straightforward pull like any other engine. You can pull the transmission out with it. The hood will need to come off for that. Or use an engine strap to go around the engine and take that out that way and drop the trans

pull the radiator and remove the top radiator support this will allow you to pull the motor up and out the front and give more room to work without removing the hood...just pulled my motor and gonna do a rebuild after a dropped valve seat...
