Hi, my ECT sensor or thermostat might be bad. Id like to change the sensor since it seems like an easier way to go since you have to drain the radiator to get to the t-stat. Try as i might i cant find the ECT sensor on my truck tho and youtube has not helped much. Could anyone take a picture of their 2004 dodge ram 1500 and post it or find one online. I went to autozone and they printed me a diagram but cant find the thing when i lift my hood. Have scanned google but nothing reliable yet. Thankyou for your time.

 

ECT is usually close to the stat housing.

i just looked again. Found several diagrams but when i go look at my truck it looks completely different. I dont know much about trucks but im trying to fix it myself. Ill keep scouring but if anyone has a picture, an actual picture of where the ect is id really appreciate it.

 

Just to let the you know, I went to find mine today and couldn't. I didn't have along time to look but it certainly wasn't in plain site

 

 

I need this diagram for 5.7L, would the sensor be in the same place?

 

Need diagram as to where the coolant sensor is on 2008 ram 1500 5.7L
