Default P0700 code

Hello everyone, I have a 2005 Ram 1500 5.7 This past summer it started having some issues then in November that P0700 code came up which is Transmission Computer Malfunction. Tranny finally went bad last week and I brought it to a shop and had it replaced with a new crate transmission. Picked it up Tuesday and now on my way to work this morning the P0700 came back on. Can't be the tranny because it's brand new right? Just dropped $3000 for the new one. What might be wrong with it?

Could be any number of things. How's the fluid? Can you take it back tot the place that installed it and ask them? Did you get a warranty? Any shifting issues at all?

Prolly wasn't the transmission itself, but an electronic component under the hood?

I haven't checked the fluid since I picked it up yet. It started today again going up my block to the main road. I stopped at the stop sign and when I went to turn on the main road it felt like it was stuck in a gear. Hit the gas and it would barely move. Pulled over turned the truck off, turned it back on and it shifted fine the rest of the way to work but the check engine light stayed on the whole time. I got the 3 year 100,000 mile guaranteed warranty on it.

Is the transmission computer integrated in the PCM on these trucks?

Time to use that warranty.
