I have a question for anyone. O.K. I just took my truck for alignment and was told I need both front wheel bearings and one outer tie rod end. I was also told by the alignment shop that one side has ABS and the other not? Is this typical? Just want to make sure im ordering the right wheel bearings when I order.

 

both should be ABS or NOT.. not one or the other...

so 2 abs or Zero abs...

if the ABS light is not ON... the fuse has been pulled for a reason.

 

LF bearing has the abs sensor. However both sides are the same, so just zip tie the wire up for the right

 

thanks guys. Is there a quick way to tell if mine is equipped with 4 wheel anti lock or 2 wheel?

I used it last year.
and my 1500 is 2 wheel ABS... rear only. with Tow package.

I have Never seen only 1 sensor on a front axle... 1 per wheel.... front only, rear only OR all four...

but I have been wrong before...

o.k. so I got my build sheet and it says this " 4 Wheel Disc Rr Anti-Lock Brakes " Does this mean only anti lock in rear only?

 

Correct, Rear Only ABS.. with 4 wheel disc brakes. like mine.

Well my wheel bearings came in today and as i looked at the drivers side front that's on the truck now, there is a wire that goes thru the brake dust shield that goes up to a plug towards brake booster??? But passenger side has no wire?? Both bearings i got have no wires in fact they are same bearing as they are to be for a 2 wheel ABS. What do I have here.
