Default '02 1500 rear end hop

I have a rear end hop when braking at about 45-50. Did the rear rotors and pads. Balanced my tires (which made it better). It needs new shocks but am not sure that's it. Anyone else experienced this?

No, I would think the balance would benadryl if rim and it would be all over the road with axle. Man, the later would suck

Jack the rear and spin the wheel with a straight edge at the bottom of the tire. Watch for a wobble. What about u joints? Leaf spring bushings? Shocks if the vehicle has more than 50-60k.
