Default Rear diff noise

My rear end has been making noise for the longest time now. I'm almost positive it's just the carrier and all the spider gears are all mangled up because it's only once I turn it makes horrible noises. I'm going to rebuild it myself and without taking the cover off, I wanted to see if I could figure out the ratio, which I was told was 3.92 for stock Ram 1500 2004 4x4 hemi. But that ratio is hard to find online and the ring gear looks like it doesn't have any places for bolts to screw it to the case half or carrier.
