Sonnax line pressure booster worth it? Pro's Con's?
Hi, I have a 04 Ram 4X4 Hemi, What do you guy's know about these?
Are they worth it?
Do they hurt the life of the tranny or do they help it?
Does it change the way it shifts?
Do I need to use the spring? I'd rather wait to add that part when I do the next fluid change if I need it.
Thanks

Sonnax with SC tranny tune
I noticed you guys were talking about something I was afraid to do about 4 years ago when I bought the infamous Sonnax resistor for boosting tranny pressures. I had the SC 3950 with the trans tune in it and was reading all of the posts back then about it was probably a bad idea to use the two together!
So now that it has been a few years has anyone had any problems with leaking fittings or trans acting up? I remember putting it on for a couple of days and the shifts were more crisp but the trans would start to compensate unless I drove aggressively.
I have a manifold in my hot line to tow package radiator for my trans temp sensor that is put in with compression fittings too. That was the other thing I remember being concerned about. I forgot I even had the Sonnax until I was just doing my plug wires and digging in my truck parts.
How many people have put mileage on without issue using both?
If I remember right Superchips was warning against using the two together.
Thanks,
OEM off-road 17's, Airraid CAI, Cortex 3950, Magnafolow Y-pipe, Detroit True Trac rear, Mag Hytec trans and rear diff, SRT A-pillar w/autometer trans temp, 190 stant t-stat, cross-drilled/slotted frt and rear, RP stopped the tick for now
