Rera diff fluid

I lost my lsd diff last year. I never heard any noise but could swear it felt like it wanted to wheel-hop after getting hot and at certain speeds. I ended up having a Eaton Tru-Trac installed in place of the factory 9.25 lsd. Probably one of the best things I have done to the truck even though it was not something I had planned on doing. I stuck with the 355's because I did not want to do the front diff too. But now I am glad I did not go to the 392's like I was contemplating. The 355 gearing is perfect for my applications. I tow occasionally but not enough to warrant the change. I am also on 17's so that makes a difference.
I found a c-clip on my magnet and it was all downhill from there.
1500 bucks later I have a "REAL" locker that hooks like it should. I have to be careful when it is wet because I get sideways pretty fast.
I was told it was not that much of a difference in cost to rebuild or change it out so I opted to not have to go through that again. Mine started acting up at about 90k.
Wish you luck on the rebuild. Hope you can do it yourself. That type of precision work is way out of my league. Leave that one to the pros.
I am using Amsoil 75w-140 in my rear diff. I was told to use hypoid gear oil in the tru-trac but it is hard to find and so far no problems with the synthetic.
04 Ram 1500 Hemi 4wd QCSB, OEM off-road 17's, BFG-LT's, Airraid CAI, Cortex 3950, Magnaflow y-pipe, Detroit TT, Mag Hytec trans and rear, SRT A-pillar w/autometer trans temp, 190 t-stat, pwr stop drilled/slotted all 4, pwr wire, grnd TB

Pulled out my receipt for the work done 12/15;
These are what they used on mine;
(913A368) 9.25 Eaton Detroit Trutrac
(YKC9.25-R-B) 9.25 Dodge Master Bearing Kit
(AK1559) 2 count 6408 & 8835S (1 side)
I changed the fluid every 2k with mobil 1 until it was clean (took 3 changes) and then went with the Amsoil. Also put a mag hytec cover on so I can keep an eye on it with the magnet. It holds a little bit more fluid; maybe 1/2 qt.
Hope this is of some help to you!
