Default heater core on 02

Hey guys just recently my heater core started leaking anti-freeze into my trucks cab. I took the two hoses under the hood that go to the heater core and looped them together because I cant afford the fix right now and now the truck runs fine without the heat ofcourse. My question is, is there any damage that I can do to the truck by doing this? Im obviously no mechanic and ive been told that it will be fine im just curious and concerned. Thanx

You'll be fine until it gets cold outside!!

I don't think the heater core is all that expensive, but is labor intensive to replace. That is what runs up the service bill when replacing it. Sorry to hear about your un of bad luck and hopefully you'll see the silver lining (you've got a Ram)
