I like shiney things... I went with the 77 and its great. I believe the differance in hp gain is the plastic repels heat more then the staineless... but you could always put one of those heat guards that velcro on to the tubing.

What about the shiny heat shields so you could have the best of both worlds, bling and a cooler CAI. What about some sort of intercooler for a CAI?

Do you think you can really tell the difference of 10 extra ponies or is it all in our head.
True that but 10 ponies from a CAI, 14 from a tuner, 11 from a set of headers, etc... Numbers add up and the gains while small little by little make giant leaps when added together.

The 77 is sweet. VERY loud at WFO. Can't go wrong either way ,but as someone already said I also like shiny things. The two extra horse probably come from the fact that metal gives off more heat than plastic so less cold in my CAI.

I have the same K&N also and love it, I could have found it a little cheaper on ebay, but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it at here. K&N 63-1533, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.
