Has anyone tried this for their truck? I was looking at their site and they claimed a 10hp gain off of this as opposed to an 8hp gain off their 77-1533kp stainless steel CAI. The two are comparably priced however the 63-1533 give 2 more ponies.

Too late. My wife forced my to but the 63-1533 this morning. I did like the bling the 77 added but I liked the hp from the 63. Now I will have to look for a buyer for my K&N drop in filter when the new CAI arrives.
I like my 77, but with the stainless pipe, my EGR really talks to me. I think the noise is REALLY amplified by the steel pipe, my guess is it would be quiter with the plastic pipe.
I'd think about picking up one of those baffles to silence it, but I can't see much sense in putting something in that would restrict flow after spending good money on increasing flow...

Yes, that is a gun in my pocket and No, I am not happy to see you!
I like the look of the 63 series more than the 77. The black tube and the filter shape just mesh with the rest of the engine bay better than some gaudy chrome tube in a sea of black rubber and aluminum. That's what I went with for my 4.7L. The HP numbers claimed for the 4.7L were comparable to the HEMI kit in that the 63 was claiming more than the 77. I don't know for sure about gaining more horsies than the other series, but it does what it's supposed to do, and sounds WAY better than stock.
