Default Anyone use these "Definity DAKOTA" tires

Hey there all well it's been a while since I posted anything here. If you remember I'm in the Army so you know where I'm headed to in the next few months, anyway Iwas going overmy "Brandi" and I noticed thatone of the ribs of the drivers front tire was worn down quite a bit more thanI had remembered. I have Michelins LTX in the 245/70/17 (stock size)with 47,000miles on them. So I'm buyingnew tires for safety reasons but at $190 a pop for Michelinsthey are pretty pricy. I was wondering if anyone has used the Definity DAKOTA H/T Truck/SUV tires from PepBoys. They are on sale at a buy 3 get 1 free deal at $105 a popfor the 265/70/17 (one size larger)and come with a 60,000mile warranty. I know these are no Michelins butI am going to get a new tire wheel combo when I get home, 20-22's maybe a set of SRT-10 wheel/tire combo. These are justto get by with for about 18 months/15,000 miles. Biggest thing is if anyone has any overall comments on them that would help. Thanks H-

Not my choice, but a good price for a decent tire.

Thanks for your service.

I also have 265/70/17's on mine and so far they have worked great. Only regret is that I should have gotten the 285's

They are nice aren't they?

I run mine at 40 psi for better gas mileage.

Never heard of anyone having problems with them yet. Also plenty of people that live in my area are using them on their 4x4's and go 4 wheeling all the time. They will surprise you.

More aggressive than the pictures show while running quiet on the road.

On a side note, there are no perfect tires, if you go off roading you will get stuck one day as everyone does, there will be something that will hang up the truck. And yes it doesn't matter what truck or mods that you have or even the tires you are using. Paying over $200 a tire is no guarantee that you won't get stuck, there are no magic miracle never get stuck tires.

Just an update on my Dakota AT's.

These things are like anchors in the rain I can tell you, they are giving excellent traction on wet roads even in heavy rain.

I did have the truck in the mud alittle and they self cleaned very well and traction was very good to say the least. These dig down as they should and grab. Keep in mind now that I have a 2wd here so mud holes are not going to happen for obvious reasons.

I have four Lt 285 75 16 on my truck that I bought in 07 for my old ford that I used for 1 summer.
I am now running them on My Dodge diesel 2500 that I bought in July of 2009 and had a belt break recently. I contacted Pep Boys Head Office and they shipped me a new tire after I sent them picture of the defective tire and tread dept measurements.

Now that is on top of a great tire what i call excellent customer service!!!
Thanks Jeff!.
