how would i fix it if it is the hood.
Pop your hood you will see in the front by your hood latch two hood stops turn them about 1/4" up. Mack sure they are even. Mine were not even.

I just checked again, its not the hood, sounds and feels like a large clunk/knock. It is something more like a front end component going bad or looseThank you for the tips though

The dealer said they went over the entire front end with a fine tooth comb. I ask they why they are using a comb on the front end when I need the dam thing fixed. He told me I'm crazy. LOL

No really, they said they checked EVERYTHING and could not locate the rattle. they admit they can hear it so thats good I guess. Any other ideas please shoot them at me.

Mine does the same thing and I have taken back to the dealership probably like 10 times just for that noise and 4 of the tech & the service manager say they all hear it. At first they said all the 05's did it but when we test drove a used one on the lot no clunking. So far they have retorqued the suspension, replaced the half shaft (whatever that is?) & replaced R&P. Still no luck on solving the problem. I still have to take it back and leave it for a couple days, so If you find anything out let me know cause it's driving me crazy & I will do the same.

It seems like I hear it more on an uneven (bumpy) road or when my wheel is turned left & I pull out of my driveway or go over a dip.

Could it be the front brake calibers? I have had the bushing go bad on those and start clunking.

I am in the same boat as you. My Dodge dealership replaced my hole right side suspension. I still have this Dam noise. I can make the sound when the hood is up and I push up on it a little more. It looks like the Hood struts have a lot of play.

My diesel did the same thing I had a loose bodymount on the front passenger side, look in front of the front tire and up there is a black bolt with a silver big ass washer on it, try tightening it. I was hearing it for awhile and when i opened the door and pushed up and down making the truck shake i could here it. I had my father do that and i layed under the truck touching everything that was making a noise tracked it down to the body mount, cranked down on same noise gone.
