Default How are your seats holding up?

My drivers seat is toast, the foam on the left hand side of the seat is gone, the metal bracing of the seat has worn away the fabric and bitting my ass,

The great news is mt dodge dealer has agread to repair this under warenty, apaearantly this is a common issue with the seats.

I had the same problem on my 04 F-150.

I'm in out of my truck so much during my work day and I have good quality seat covers, with in the last year and a half, I have put 40.000 Km on my 06 Ram 2500 SLT , this is only the 2nd item to be rapaired under warenty.

my 05 has some slight worn places in the seat from "double rubs"lol I went ahead and put some good seatcovers on so it didn't get any worse.

Mine isn't warn down. But the reclining lever doesn't work right. I have to slam my body into it to move it at all.

My seat is torn and foam is coming out. The truck has over 140k miles however. The seats are much better tha the ones in my '99, they were junk at 40k.

What kind of seat covers and where did you get them? My seat is doing the same thing.

I think I commented on this in another (unrelated) thread...that I am especially disappointed in the quality of the seats in my '06 vs my '02. Just under 45K miles and the seat is seperating at a seam on the back and the left hand side bottom (where my rump goes in and out ) is starting to flatten out badly.

Unfortunately, as of yet I haven't found any seat covers that fit properly that I like...

are you 'sliding' out of the seat instead of getting up and off? i get about 2k on mine every month, and my seat sure isn't coming apart. But i'm also "only" 160 lbs.

What about staining? I hear the 3rd Gen seats stain super-easily, even just water.

The foam is easy to replace, and so is your upholstery! If anyone needs upholstery replacement, let me know! (It's what I do.)

My 06 seats stain VERY easy...plain water will cause them to to show are dark spot where it was wet. FREAKIN HORRIBLE IMO.

My 08 has YES ESSENTIAL seats that are stain, water and odor resistant. If liquid gets on them , it just beads up like a good waxed paint.
