Bull Bar Question

For those of you that have bull bars about how long did they take to install, what brand, how much were they, and do they mess up the front airbag sensors on a 1500?

I'd be interested to know all of this info too. Where were you planning on ordering from Inferno? I was thinking that the Ebay ones looked decent enough.. I wouldent be pushing anything, it'd be strictly for looks. Has anyone tried the ebay ones?

If i were to buy one i'd probably get a Westin. I don;t know much about them though. I think most just bolt on so probably under 30 mins

Bought mine off of ebay... Took about an hour to install my myself...paid around 200 with shipping I believe...The longest part was getting the little plastic piece out and cut so the mounting brackets could be bolted in place and the front of the truck still looks good...

So you loose the front fascia piece? Do you think you could cut it out to keep it? I know they can be replaced cheap by the dealer. Cutting it isn't a problem, but I kinda like it as far as looks.

Also, how strong is the bar, could you wrap a rope around it to yank someone out if they are stuck in snow?

Also, I wouldn't put anything but 304 Stainless Steel on my truck as far as Bull bar, side steps...etc Chrome plating is junk and will rust in no time and so will painted. 409 will take longer but will eventually have some rust pits I suppose it's better than painted or plated steel. Aluminum is probably the best choice, but not as strong.

Yeah I just took the piece out to cut around it and put it back in...It wouldn't look very good with that piece missing...As far as pulling someone out of the snow I'm really not to sure. Maybe a car or a light SUV but that's about it...

Took me about an hour as well and the black insert while it was out, I cut it to fit back in.

Yeah, I'm not planning on ever pulling ou a truck. Those stuck bastards can sit there for the tow trucks......lol
Most I'll do is yank out car or possibly an SUV if the chick is hot....heheh
There was some cute chick stuck in about 5" of snow at the bottom of a fairly steep hill last year. At first I drove by and then I said to my wife we better stop (she had practically a mini skirt on bending over to scoop out the snow from under her car). I hooked up to her frame and towed her about a mile up the hill to her driveway. She actually gave me her number with my wife in the truck....lol I never called of course, but a guy can dream right????????????????????????
