Default my new rims

heres my new rims i got on the way. i will get real pics after they arrive.

http://www.dickcepek.com/images/DC1_BlackLg.jpg

17x9 with 4.53 backspace and -12mm offset

i have a question. i am getting the cepek crushers to go with them. and i want to go as big as i can. the 315-70-17 are 34.6 inches tall. how bad are they gonna rub?is it just going to be at full lock? i have adjusted my torsion to level out my truck.

my next choice is the 285-70-17 they are 33 inches tall. i know they will work with no problems. they just wont fill the wheel wells up like i want.

heres the tires.havent seen or heard anyone with them. i like the look alot better than the mud country.and thats kinda what i am going for. the look.

I like the wheels, but you should have got 9.5" or 10" wide to run 315's. 315's are a bit too wide for a 9" rim. Not saying it can't be done, but your gonna buldge a little and crown in the center of the tire which causes bad traction and uneven wear. I would say 305 is widest you should be going.
Please someone with those size chat in and shed some light? Maybe I'm just used to lower profile tires being that way!

the 305's are 33.1 tall but are only offered in black wall, and i want the white letters.and the tread width are both the same on the 305 and 315....9.8 inches.

you should be fine. you got a good backspaced rim to fit wider tires. a 12.5 inch wide rim is cutting it real close on a 9 inch wide rim but it should fit. i dont think youll have any issues. you almost have to go to a 35 inch tire with those stone crushers cause they would look funny if they were any smaller i think. going real aggressive too. good luck with everything.

315's will be fine on a 9" rim. A 315 70 17 specs out at 12.4 inches wide and numerous people including myself have run 12.5" wide tires on 9" rims for years.
