My Single Axle Swap!!!
Well ater taking my 1500 on a light bit of offloading I was disappointed with the results. I had to get an alignment and I had a thumping coming from the front. I know that it was not the trucks fault but. This was the first IFS Ram that I owned after coming from a slew of pre 2002 ram 1500's and I just was not happy with how the front end looked and held up. I am not bashing anyones truck on here this is just my personal opinion. So after doing some reshearch about doing a SAS I came to the conclusion that it would not be cost effective to take on such a project. So I put my 1500 up for sale after only owned it for less than 3 months. I ended up selling it to a local guy who just got back from Irac. With cash in hand I started looking for a 2500. I liked the body style of the 03-05 and I found one on ebay. The next day I was on a plane and headed to Florida and after a 10 hour drive home here is what I found...
Here is the truck I just sold.
And here is what I just bought.I have to say the ride was like night and day with the 2500 compared to the IFS, but I love it. Feels more like a truck to me...

Very sharp truck. I would've gotten the 2500 myself, But the 1500 had everything I want. And for the light offroading I have done so far it has held up absolutely wonderful, With the exception of the 20" wheels, Which are quickly dying from rock hits and mud.
Just wondering what engine and trasmission did ya get?

yeah, I wasn't too happy going from a '98 1500 with a SFA to a IFA, and I'm harder than most on a truck, just with hunting the south ga. swamps and work around the farm, but the suspension lift replaced a good many of the weaker parts up front, and I can change a CV in the field if need be. But if I had to do it over again, Ida got a 2500...
