What else do i need to win?
If i got a programmer and intake would i be able to win?
Just line them up and find out...that's the only way to know. IMO the 6'er is close to a second faster than you in the 1/4 as your trucks sit right now...his two mods and a decent launch will get him mid/high 14's while you're mid/high 15's. If you have the money to burn then sure start modding but don't do it to beat a guy in his slow mustang...sure you truck is slow too but at least you can haul/tow crap.

some of those 6'ers will shock you. Over on my mustang board, theres a guy running a precision pt-1 turbo on his otherwise 100% stock motor. On his race tune he's running 485hp to the wheels, maybe closer to 500 actually. Granted, he's broken every other piece of drivetrain there is, but the motor holds. Its really one of my favorite cars on the whole forum, mainly because of the sleeper status.

And just cause it has a Hemi doesnt mean anything, it is what it is, which is a second slower.....

Edit: also have a buddy here locally that has a 98 6er. 3.73's, lt's, catback, upgraded wires/coils, and a few other here-n-theres, and he should now be a real good run for me in the D. Oh yeah, and he's and auto too

off topic of thread: and idk ,,but image putting that precision turbo on a v8 (forgive me if you cant do it on a v8) imagine his horsepower outcome then , bye bye newest "shelby" mustang ! money well spent! but hey , i love sleepers too so whatevers clever

Just my two cents...
Instead of dumping money into my truck to beat V6 Mustangs i'd throw it into something else.
I would consider a mid 90's regular cab Dakota.
Look for a boneyard 360 and 904 tranny.
It wouldn't take much to rebuild the motor.
Throw an 8/34 underneath and go looking for V8 Mustangs.
