Default Rims covered under warranty?

I made a thread a while ago about my rim leaking and have been to busy to fix it. I was told it was from the chrome peeling off or oxidizing. I forget what he really said. Are rims covered under warranty? It's in no way damaged or bent or anything like that that I would have caused. It's a 05

it should be covered under the basic 3/36 warranty....but it's kinda one of those deals where they could make a case against you that you used something on the wheel that you shouldnt have causing it to do that....think it's pretty much gonna be on the opinion of your service manager

Most guys have peeling wheel sbecause they use harsh cleaning chemicals. You really cannot use anything as far as wheel cleaner in the stores. They are too strong and cause damage after even a short while. I would recommend using Simple Green or a mild degreaser. That's it.

If your truck is still under warranty, then you have a good shot at getting it covered. I know several guys that have gotten wheels replaced under warranty.
