Default billet fuel doors

Searched, surprised to find nearly nothing on the topic.

I want a billet fuel door. there are lots of types, brands and I was looking for opinions.
I have seen types where the fuel door opens separately from the outer ring as well as the type that the whole door opens.

I don't want to have to drill and or modify the area with the install.
Are there types that install to the factory mounting location where the inner door opens separate from the outer ring?

I definitely don't want the plastic kind.

I also am thinking of going with a black one or black outer ring and polished inner door.
How do they hold up to salt and stuff?

Hard to understand what you're really getting from the online places so I want to be sure before I order one.

Brands?
Online places to buy from?

A buddy of mine got one from Auto Zone or Advance. It's chrome and it bolts on and the door locks. It looks good on his truck but he said its a PITA to install especially if you have big hands. looks good tho. Yeah the ones that REDONE posted the llink to are really nice. I just can't decide if I want one or not.

I have searched for black ones and those are the only ones that I can find (with chrome screws). I would love to have all black. I wonder if you could have the screws powdercoated, or even paint them yourself. If you find anything let us know, cause I am very interested in getting one for my truck.

dedogg, you could always buy some black oxide coated screws from McMaster-Carr or a hardware store to replace the ones that come with the kit. I took a look on McMaster, and they seem to have the ones that replace the ones that come with these doors:

I have a polished aluminum door from solidbydesign. The quality is first rate. Unfortunately, it is a non-clear coated door, which means that it gets corrosion at the drop of a hat and is a high maintenance item.. It sucks. I'll be painting it over the summer.

i would like to stay away from chrome as I have pretty much eliminated what little I had. The grill is on the way out for a black billet one, and the rims. Well still looking for ones I like.
