Default Any other hemi guys losing coolant?

I'm buzzin and curious...am I the only one (losing coolant that is)? I bought my truck new in 07 and ever since i've noticed the overflow getting lower and lower. I added about a quart at around 5k miles thinking that it might've just had some air in the system from being new and all. But 11k miles later it's back to the min. line...come to think of it I do get a whiff of coolant when driving now and then. When the weather clears i'm going to pressure test her but is this common on a newish hemi?

Figures, this is my first vehicle that doesn't use any oil but instead uses coolant...geez.

Mine is doing the exact thing!!! I have a 2007 with 22k on it. Not sure what it is and haven't really had a chance to check it out. But it was down at the min mark.

Mine does it also. I add a quart about every 20k. My Sierra used to do it also, so I really haven't paid it much attention...

My '04 hasn't lost any. The only time I have added was after I changed the thermostat to a 180* and I replaced the cup full or so I lost. That's been it through the first 41k miles...

Maybe that pink crap evaporates? I'll have to check mine again, but none missing at the last oil change.

My truck had been doing that and I never paid too much attention to it. Then one day I go out to start my truck and when it starts a crapload of white smoke came out the exhaust. Then as I was driving more smoke just kept pouring out my exhaust. I knew why it had been losing coolant then. Fortunately I was just barely inside my warranty so I took it to the dealer and they put new headgaskets on it. I sure hope that doesn't happen again.

If the factory pink stuff is the Dexi-cool crap, it needs to go. That stuff is corrosive and even eats up aluminum.
Was at a friends auto shop Friday, had a late 90's Vette in there. It had sat for about a year due to being wrecked, and sat being low on coolant. Well, there the Dexi-cool dried in the water jackets and the air hit it, it ate away at the heads. It ate through the cooling jackets into the combustion chambers. He had to have the heads welded up in 5 different spots.
I have replaced several radiators and water pumps in 4.3L Blazers because the Dexi-cool eats the seals out of them.

What exactly is the pink stuff?????
