I was at Auto Zone today picking up some tar remover and all that good stuff. As I was walking up the isle I noticed the Hella 500's. I think they were going for like $74.99 for one. Does that sound right? What did you guys pay for yours? Also, on the box it said that it was a plug and play application. How easy is the install. Im considering buying them but I want to confirm all this stuff first. Thanks for the help.

I havent gotten my hellas yet but im planning on it.. check on ebay or amazon and you can usually get them cheaper.. and the install is pretty easy.. if youve ran offroad lights on a truck before then wiring these are the exact same as that.. Im not so sure about plug and play because the dodges dont have plugs in the stock harness anywhere to just clip the hellas in.. try the DIY section in the 3rd gen tech and theres probably some intsructions in there from someone who did it already..

offroad lights are easy to wire.. power from battery through fuse to switch in dash to lights.. I dunno about hellas.. alot of lights ground through the base of the light.. If your planning on putting other offroad lights in a bull bar or light bar or anything else aftermarket electircal you can get aux fuse blocks that will hold 4, 5, 10 fuses.. whatever you like for a couple dollars.. that way you just screw it somewhere and run 1 power wire to it from the battery and then through the fuses to all your lights.. so you only have 1 wire coming off the battery instead of a big mess of wires..

They are an easy install, but not plug and play. It does take some wiring on your part.
