Default where to find a transmission cooler?

The problem is on a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 qc 2wd. Ok i was like 2 miles away coming home from work. when i noticed behind me it was really smokey. i didnt think nothing about it at first then i noticed it wasnt smokey at all in front of me. by that time i was close to my house so when i pulled in i made sure it wasnt my truck. well guess what it was. i checked the back first and everything was coated with red liquid. I thought i might have blown a seal out of the tranny. well i crawled under the truck and the motor was soaked also. so i was like what the hell. I popped my hood and opened it up and there it was. a rock had hit the cooler. there is a smaller cooler under it but im not sure what it is. but the top one is the one that is damage. i hope this is what it is since the liquid was red. i live out of town in the sticks so i cant check part stores and i checked online and no one seams to have it not even ebay. where can i look online to get one. How much do these usually run. It looks as if the cooler attaches to the tranny lines right beside the radiator so installing a new one doesnt look that hard. Will someone please help?? thanks

I have been looking also, and the only place to find a bolt on replacement is a dealership. But the ones in this area have cut back stock levels on parts and dont have them. I found a heavy duty trans cooler at Oriellys for 45 dollars, actually has higher flow rates than stock for less money. only draw back is it doesn't fit as well

Do you have any bone yards near by that might have late model Rams?

Yep, you should check a pick 'n pull, might get a stock one for not much money...

I went to this local guy that fixes radiators and he fixed mine right up for $15. Its been 2 months and still no leaks. He soldered it and put some kind of epoxy Ford uses on thier radiator repairs. Maybe this wont happen again. thanks

If you are looking for one in the future I have the stock 16 row cooler off my 05 sitting in the garage collecting dust. Nothing wrong with it I just upgraded mine to a 26 row for the converter.
