Default I got Nitto... Do You?

My new gunner 8 chrome rims and Nitto dura grapplers are on my 2500 Ram.

LT 265 70 17, The rim and tire combo have turned my 3/4 Ton Ram into a 3/4 a hell of nice ridding truck, no axle hop over pop hole's, or rail road tracks, Ride is smooth..

I did not buy thease tires for off road use, but the tread design is much improved over the BFG R/T T/A

The Nitto dura garpplers do apear widder than the stock BFG, Tire sizes are the same.

Each wheel and tire are 81 pounds and thiers a lot alot a lot tread..

My 2nd chioce was the Tera Grapler, But I suspect I'm going to be spending the majority of my time on paved roads and what off road driving I might do, I know the The dura grapplers are gonna out perform the BFG R/T T/A ..

Toyo Tire owns Nitto ..

We need pics! But 265 17's on a 2500 seem too small. You need some 305's! I have Nittos on mine but they are 22's!

I will post pics..

I hate fender Flares, even the stock 265 70 17 stick out of the wheel wells ... + the ride hieght on a stock 2500 is just fine, I have no desire to lift my truck so spending money I don't have, for a need I will never use, just don't add up in my book.

The rims were a whim and I could have went to 285 or 305 on the stock rims, adding a in or two of ground clerance.

THe stock BFG tires trap rocks and will strip your rockers clean of paint, ( I love dupli colour ) the dural grapplers don't have a tight tread, and don't trap anywhere near the amount of small rocks as the R/T T/A

THe dura grappler is more suited for the CTD guys who are towing and want thier tires to last, My rig is more of a work truck than a 4x4 bruiser.

So far a hemi running the highway and the ocassional towing, or working on the job, The dural grapler appears to be a logical replacement for BFG.

The dural grapler out rides, out hauls, beats the BFG in handeling, In Western Canada, Kal Tire ( I hate those sob ) are the only ones selling them at a bend U over pricing..

I am soo glad I found this post. The Dura Grapplers are the exact tire I was looking for. The looks of a all terrain but meant for towing and longetivity is perfect. Im looking at the LT285/75/17 with some wheels. Anyone have a price for those. I found them for $250 but I also found a site thats selling the for $190.
